CISBOT Model for Brighton & Hove City Council
Swift Argent have undertaken Financial Benefits Analysis of CISBOT System Use on Western Road and King’s Road Brighton.
The Report details the benefit saving of carrying out repairs to gas mains on lengths of roads on Western Road and King’s Road in Brighton and Hove using a CISBOT compared to conventional trench based renewal methods.
CISBOT robotic joint sealing robots renew cast iron pipes by internally injecting all of the joints in a given area with an anaerobic sealant. CISBOT operates in live gas mains with no disruption of services to customers. Only one excavation is performed from the rear of a single box truck making the work less visible and decreases the amount of traffic disruption, noise, pollution and excavation required. This dramatically reduces the inconvenience to the public by minimising the footprint and duration of the road works.
